• Motion to approve November 14 minutes; passed unanimously

WWPSA Vision

• Type of Board: managing or operating
• Review prospect of full-time staff
• Other clubs of our size have several paid staff
• Funding needs to be determined
• Payroll will be required
• Need self-starter to lead
• Project manager to handle facilities projects
• General agreement in principle that our current approach needs to change and that we should explore finding at least one person to take on this role

Facilities Update

• Received draft facilities MOUs between WW Township and WWPSA and meeting to discuss proposed changes in process
• Snow fencing purchased and will be installed as soon as the fields dry

Equipment Update

• Mid-Atlantic Summit at Nike showroom meeting with Ewing Sports: 12/11 in Mt. Laurel
• Extra goals available in soccer house with no nets; Earl will coordinate donation to Trenton
• Met with Nike and Puma representatives to discuss proposals

Fundraising Update

• GP contacting Board members to identify potential donors; interviews scheduled

Merchandise

• Tabled until January

Financial Assistance

• Tabled until January
• Need to form a committee to draft a policy guiding future requests for financial assistance above and beyond registration or team fees

Community Relations

• Begin planning for 2007 events:
• West Windsor Recreation Fair

• Need to determine which teams were sponsored so that plaques can be properly inscribed

Rec Update

• Considering modifying league alignment based on parent feedback, Fall 2006 registration results
• Volunteers identified for Spring Rec Coordinator and Deputy Coordinator

· Rec Parent Feedback survey results: top issues (that can be addressed):

o Poor-fitting uniforms

o Lack of training by coaches

o Make-up games

o Inconvenient practice times

o Balanced teams

o Age-appropriate league balancing

o Additional training options for players

o Enforcing Coaches’ Code of Conduct

o Field conditions

o Adequate lighting

· Suggestions for improvement:

o Follow-up with coaches with clinics during season

o Assign professional trainers to help coaches during some practices

o Reinforce and better communicate rules of the game

o Move up the start of the season to take advantage of warmer weather

o Establish a canceled games make-up policy to play more

o Improve the number of coaches and quality of optional training sessions

o Get team assignments and schedules out earlier to parents

o Pair coaches with differing levels of experience

o Increased training opportunities, including specialized training

o Better training for referees

o More coaches / referees

Travel Update

• Indoor season underway
• Earl requested whether the Board would consider partially subsidizing standard equipment kits for each Travel team where most of the cost would be borne by the parents for up to $6k per year for two years;
