- Meeting began at 8:01 pm and a quorum was verified
General
- Motion to approve October 10 minutes; passed
unanimously
- Insurance: Earl to reach out to past Insurance volunteers
to determine whether they would be interested in coordinating WWPSA’s
insurance needs
- Need to send a general broadcast e-mail
- Paid staff
- Several board members sent Justin tasks for a PT person
to perform
- Review prospect of full-time staff
- Other clubs of our size have paid staff
- Funding needs to be determined
- Payroll will be required
- Need self-starter to lead
- General agreement in principle that our current approach
needs to change and that we should explore finding at least one person
to take on this role

KidSafe Update
Facilities Update
- Received draft facilities MOUs between WW Township and
WWPSA
- Letter sent to Plainsboro requesting whether they have
available land on which we could build a soccer complex; they are
searching their inventory and will work with us going forward
- Proposed semi-permanent sign at Zaitz to post field
information; Steve Per knows a Boy Scout troop who built the post at WWCP
by the Waterworks parking lot and will reach out to start the process
- Steve was in contact with troop and will give them Earl’s
contact information to get started
- Conover / WWCP # 2: repairs are complete
- Snow fencing purchased and will be installed as soon as
the fields dry
- Motion to purchase signs for WWCP to mark fields for up
to $2,500 and purchase portable goals for a total cost of $6 – 9k onto
Conover and WWCP # 2 to protect fields after repairs are complete
- Motion to reserve fields at MCCC for all programs to
use to practice in April to ensure that new fields have ample opportunity
to grow in as weather warms; will also need to lease additional portable
lights; total cost of up to $6k for lit fields, either at MCCC or for
portable lights
Equipment Update
- Mid-Atlantic Summit at Nike showroom meeting with Ewing
Sports: 12/11 in Mt. Laurel
- David Boate, Marc Herold, Bill Kramer, Earl Deamond, Ken Matthews
- Extra goals available in soccer house with no nets; Earl
will coordinate donation to Trenton
Fundraising Update
- GP contacting Board members to identify potential donors;
interviews scheduled
Merchandise
- Review 2007 order timing; WWPSA contacted by Ewing Sports
to review new line
- Jackets? Sweatshirts? How much to invest or keep on-hand?
- We need to develop a cohesive plan for ordering
merchandise for all programs; will save money on setup costs and develop
a consistent look to build the brand and profile of the association
- Some teams are ordering warm-ups, rain suits, etc., on
their own, incurring unnecessary setup charges
- Need to schedule a future session to discuss
Financial Assistance Review
- Need to form a committee to
draft a policy guiding future requests for financial assistance above and
beyond registration or team fees
- Bill and Brent volunteered
and will reach out to Andre
Community Relations
Awards and Photo Day
- Highly organized and strong parental feedback
- Magnets distributed to households
- Strong merchandise sales
- Need to determine which teams were sponsored so that
plaques can be properly inscribed
