Resolutions:

 

Approved record of email motions passed - Wildcats (21-0) A motion to expend a maximum of $1,000 so WWPSA could (1) host a Wildcats soccer clinic and practice session, (2) host a Wildcats summer camp open to all (participants will paid a fee to attend), and (3) sell Wildcat tickets on a consignment basis.

 

Approved January 20 and March 21, 2005 minutes

 

Agreed not to arrange a showing of the “Game of their lives” movie.

 

Approved refunding the spring Pre-K players $115 of the $125 paid due to the age of the players and because WWPSA has not yet incurred any direct costs with respect to these players other than credit card fees.

 

Approved refund policy “WWPSA will refund player registration fees less a $10 administration fee if they cancel before the program begins. No refunds will be given after the program begins.”

 

Approved addition to Youth Protection Policy “Anyone not approved by the NJ State Police cannot coach or train players within WWPSA. No exceptions will be granted and people not approved by the NJ State Police will be informed that they were not approved”

 

Agreed that selling of significant quantities of Skorrpi is and that Nina and the Sunburst committee can make a decision if they would like to sell them or not.

 

Approved selling Wildcats tickets at $4 per tickets

 

Approved buying 1000 Wildcats tickets at $3 each and given these to all spring travel and recreational players.

 

Agreed that June 15th is the most appropriate date for a WWPSA day at the Wildcats.

 

Agreed to not pursue the Rutgers Men and Women Soccer offer unless a volunteer can be found to lead the effort.

 

Approved the formation of formation of insurance sub-committee chaired by Chris Hazen reporting to Andre Maglione that will be responsible for creating a report for the Board documenting: An assessment of our current insurance polices including What is and is not covered through the insurance we obtain through NJ Youth Soccer

Recommendations on what changes should be made to our insurance polices.

 

Approve appointment of Steve Solomon as chair of the Discipline and Grievance Committee and a call for 2 volunteers to sit on this committee.

 

Approve policy that Board members or coaches cannot serve on the Discipline and Grievance Committee and that at least one committee member must be the parent of a travel player and one must be a parent of a recreational player.

 

Approve Discipline and Grievance Committee Policy as set forth.

 

Agreed to not directly participate in the Plainsboro Community Day because no one present was willing to volunteer to attend the day.

 

Approved letting Community Middle School (Guy Tulp) borrow 20 sharpshooter goals for there annual world cup soccer day on Wed, June 15.

 

Approved expenditure to aerate and fertilize Zaitz park.

 

Approved formation of Facilities Committee to manage maintenance, equipment and development of facilities as detailed in Facilities.

 

Accepted resignation of Mark Pepper as Boys 2nd grade league manager.

 

Approved creation of an adult recreational league manager as a Board member and the appointment of David Boate to that position.

 

Agreed to list soccer centers and their camps on the WWPSA.org/camps pages even though they are not held in West Windsor-Plainsboro.

 

 

Discussed:

 

Wildcats clinic will be held June 23 and a camp from July 25 to 29th.

 

Need to finalized equipment needs for the fall and understanding that the budget may be insufficient to cover the costs of the equipment.

 

Travel tryouts and the need to disclose the policy of allowing an appeal to the Travel Committee if they wish to play up.

 

NJYS courses that clubs can take advantage of.

 

Memorial Day parade that teams and others can march in if they so desire.

 

Relocation of soccer fields and goals at Conover and Sarnoff.

 

Finance report for Jan to Mar 31, 2005 reflecting gross revenues of $47,000 (including Sunburst registration fees paid by credit card), expenditure of $16,000 and total cash reserves including Sunburst of approximately $450,000.

 

Duck Pond Park development and the best way for WWPSA to approach it.
