In 2008, the WWPSA Travel Program discontinued U-08 travel teams in favor of the newly introduced Travel Development Academy (TDA). 

To continue the emphasis on fundamental technical skill development at the youngest ages and to build upon the foundations developed in the TDA, for U-09 Travel Teams, the Travel Executive Committee (TEC) will select the professional trainers for the top team "A".

Moreover, “B” teams and “C” teams will be formed if there is interest.  Players on these teams will continue to attend TDA training sessions during the week and will play League games on Sundays.  An 8v8 team based training component will be incorporated into the TDA program.  Trainers will also be selected by the TEC.

The TEC will work with the selected trainers to ensure a consistent application of the technical skills curriculum.  Selected trainers will attend at least three (3) games per season as Head Coach and will be responsible to work closely with the volunteer Team Manager/ Assistant Coach.
