2008 Virginian Champions!
The Galaxy took home the championship from the 2008 Virginian tournament. In tournament play, the team won their first 3 games. They began by beating the PWSI Cougars 3-1 on goals by Sean Hazen, Kevin Nowak and Robby Smuckler. Clarkstown was the next team to fall to the Galaxy, 4-1 on goals by Max Hoppenot, Dan Steinberg, Zach Rosenberg and Josh Weitz. Going undefeated, the Galaxy topped the Metro Fusion, 6-1. Robby Smuckler had 2 goals in the contest while Sean Hazen, Max Hoppenot, Kevin Nowak and Zach Rosenberg each added a goal.  In the tournament semi-final match up, the Galaxy defeated the Central New Jersey Silver Bullets, 4-1, to advance to the tournament final. Scoring goals for the Galaxy were Sean Hazen, Zach Rosenberg, Roland Lu and Kevin Nowak. The Monday afternoon final finished after 80 minutes in a 1-1 draw with the PWSI Cougars. Scoring the lone goal to force extra time was Max Hoppenot. The teams battled through 20 minutes of extra time without a winner. The game then went to kicks from the mark. Brian Oglesby, Eli Can and Zach Rosenberg converted their kicks while Alex Jenkins denied 3 shots to win the championship!
State Cup Semi-Finalists!
The Galaxy advanced through the NJ Youth Soccer State Cup Quarter Finals by defeating the Wall Atoms, 3-0, at West Windsor High School North. Scoring goals for the Galaxy were Eli Can, Zach Rosenberg, and Jake Schwartz. Goalkeeper Alex Jenkins recorded the shutout. The Galaxy moves on to the Semi-Final round scheduled for May 17 in Bordentown, NJ.

State Cup Win
Galaxy Advances to Quarter-Finals
The Galaxy met the Voorhees Blazers in the 2nd round of Group B of the NJ Youth Soccer State Cup tournament. Robby Smukler scored the winning goal with only seconds left to play in the match. The Galaxy now advance to the quarter-final round next weekend.

Sunburst Champions
June 3, 2007
The Galaxy won their home tournament today at Mercer County Park. The team went 3-0-1 in the 13th Annual Sunburst Tournament. On Saturday, the team defeated the PSA Earthquakes, 3-0. Zach Rosenberg, Sean Hazen and Brian Oglesby had the goals for the Galaxy while Alex Jenkins recorded the shutout as goalkeeper. In their second game, the Galaxy played to a draw with the North Hunterdon Lions. Josh Weitz and Dan Steinberg scored the goals in that contest. Sunday’s games resulted in 2 wins. First, the team beat the Wall Magic, 2-1 on goals by Zach Rosenberg and Dan Steinberg. Next, the MLU Titans fell to the Galaxy, 2-1. Kevin Nowak converted a penalty kick and CJ Richardson scored a goal.
First MAPS Season

In their first season in Mid Atlantic Premier Soccer, the Galaxy found great success. The team finished with a brilliant record 6-0. The offense outscored their opponents by 20 goals in the season. The brilliant Galaxy defense only allowed 2 goals the ENTIRE SEASON.
Galaxy Defeats Medford Strikers SC Arsenal

The team gathered another win from their MAPS schedule today by defeating the Medford Strikers SC Arsenal, 1-0. Zach Rosenberg delivered the only goal late in the game to ensure the win. Alex Jenkins recorded the shutout in goal by denying any equalizers.
East Windsor Summer Blast Off Champions!
May 12, 2007
The Galaxy didn’t allow a goal today in their dominating performance at the East Windsor Summer Blast Off tournament. The team defeated the Wyckoff Torpedoes, 5-0. Zach Rosenberg had 3 goals for the Galaxy, while Dan Steinberg and Kevin Nowak had a goal each. In their second game, the Galaxy defeated the Manalapan Cyclones, 5-0. Dan Steinberg had 2 goals and CJ Richardson, Zach Rosenberg and Josh Weitz added a goal each. Goalkeeper Alex Jenkins recorded both of the shutouts. The Galaxy defense is to be congratulated for allowing only 2 shots on goal in 2 games. The defenders were Kevin Nowak, Bryan Lentine, James Mulhall, Jake Schwartz and Andrew Stark.
Galaxy Dominates
May 5, 2007 - Another MAPS Win
The Galaxy dominated their MAPS game this afternoon by defeating the SOMHLS Titans, 7-0. Zach Rosenberg started the scoring on a lone breakaway, then added another goal from 20 yards. CJ Richardson scored the first of his 3 goals with a fast run onto a loose ball. Dan Steinberg fed the ball to CJ for his second goal. Andrew Stark and Sean Hazen put the ball in the net before CJ completed the scoring with a nice volley. Brian Lentine and Alex Jenkins recorded the shutout as goalkeepers.
Team Tryouts
May 18th and May 22nd
The Galaxy will hold their annual tryout sessions on May 18th and May 22nd. Both sessions will start at 7:30pm and go to 9:00pm. Sessions are scheduled to take place at Conover Field in West Windsor, NJ. Click here to see a map of the field location.
Another MAPS Win
April 22, 2007
Today, the Galaxy played an away match at the home field of the Jersey Knights Black. The Galaxy came away with the win by defeating the Knights, 5-0, with a true complete team effort. Brian Oglesby opened the scoring on a great pass by Zach Rosenberg. Zach continued his effort by putting 2 balls in the back of the net. CJ Richardson made a great heads up play in front of the Knights net to add another goal. Eli Can finished the scoring with another tally. Alex Jenkins had the shutout in goal, preserved with a late game save off a direct free kick. Sean Hazen played particularly well today and contributed to the win.
PDA Spring Kickoff
April 14, 2007 - Top of the Table
Fort Dix, NJ was the site of a successful tournament for the West Windsor Plainsboro Galaxy this weekend. The team was invited to the 2007 Player Development Academy Spring Kickoff Tournament. On Saturday morning, the team played to a draw with the Jersey United Patriot. Sean Hazen's lone goal in the game secured the point for the Galaxy. That afternoon, the team faced the NASA United Alianza and secured a 4-0 win. Zach Rosenberg had 2 goals in the game and Josh Weitz and Dan Steinberg had a goal each. Goalkeeper Alex Jenkins recorded the shutout. The games scheduled for Sunday were lost to severe storms. After 2 games, the Galaxy were tied on points at the top of their tournament bracket.
MAPS Season Starts with Win
April 1, 2007
The team’s away match against the Chatham Wildcats resulted in a win. The 3-2 score came from 2 goals by Zach Rosenberg and another goal by Josh Weitz. Eli Can, Josh Weitz and the Galaxy defense supported the win with excellent play.
Indoor Success
Robbinsville Fieldhouse
The team had another win at the Robbinsville Fieldhouse by defeating the Lumberton Blaze. Dan Steinberg started the scoring with a goal in the first few minutes. Zach Rosenberg put 2 balls in the back of the net to end the scoring, 3-0. Alex Jenkins recorded the shutout as goalkeeper.
Galaxy Wins in Maryland
The team picked up a tournament win today in Germantown, MD. The match was played as part of the Montgomery Soccer, Inc. March Madness Tournament, the Galaxy met the Premier 92 and defeated them, 2-0. Scoring for the Galaxy were Eli Can and Brian Oglesby. Alex Jenkins had the shutout in goal. The Galaxy defense put in a great effort by only allowing 3 goals in this premier tournament.
Galaxy to Play in March Madness Tournament
The Galaxy have been accepted to play at the prestigious March Madness tournament in Germantown Maryland. This tournament features State Cup winners and finalists. Much of the tournament is to be played at the beautiful Maryland Soccerplex. 7 states are represented including Ohio, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Virginia.
