TDA Important Information
Updated April 13, 2010

Game Day

The first game will take place this Saturday, April 10th at Sarnoff South. The girls games will start at 2:00 PM and take place on fields M#7 and M#8. The boys games will start at 3:30 PM and take place on fields M#6, M#7, and M#8. Field maps can be found on the WWPSA.ORG website (http://www.wwpsa.org/docs/Sarnoff.pdf). Please have the kids on the field 15 minutes before start time to warm up. The trainers will divide the kids into teams.  Keep in mind that no scores are noted or recorded.

We are working to schedule scrimmages with other near-by teams.  Bridgewater, Montgomery, and Hunterdon United have accepted our invitation to come and scrimmage on our fields.  More information will be posted shortly.

Please be sure the kids have plenty of water, both jerseys, shin guards, and cleats. No jewelry is allowed to be worn by the kids. Hard hair clips are also prohibited. Lastly, no players with hard casts can play. Parents and spectators are required to stay on the side closest to the road (for field #7, parents and spectators are on the side furthest from the road). The trainers, players, and parent volunteers are on the opposite sideline.

The goals will need to be dragged from the treeline to the fields. We ask the parents to please help as it is not the trainers’ responsibility to move the goals. After the 2:00 PM games, the nets should remain for the 3:30 PM boys games. Again, we ask that the parents help drag the nets back to the treeline after the boys games.

Parking
Please park only in designated spaces in the parking lot across from the fields. Do not stop along the roadway to drop off people or equipment. It creates a very dangerous condition for all involved.

Documentation
All new players must submit a proof of birth (birth certificate or passport) and a medical form, which can be found at http://www.usclubsoccer.org/Files/PLAYER-REGIS_MED%20AUTH%20FORM.doc. The document does not need to be notarized. Please scan and e-mail these documents to the TDA e-mail address as soon as possible. After April 17th, players who have not submitted their documentation will not be permitted to participate in TDA activities.

Rainouts
Field closures due to poor weather will be posted on the front page of the WWPSA.ORG website. If the fields are closed, there is no practice. Once practice begins, the trainers will have the discretion to stop practice. Please keep that in mind if you do not stay during the practice session.

Festival Day
We expect to host a TDA Festival Day some time in May. The kids seem to enjoy this event the most as it allows them to play against other nearby teams. It also provides everyone the opportunity to see what a travel soccer tournament is like. We will need all of your help to make this event a success. Additionally, we expect some of the other neighboring clubs to also host a Festival Day. WWP TDA will participate in those events.

Sunburst Tournament Team
Sunburst is a WWPSA sponsored two-day travel soccer tournament. A TDA boys team and a TDA girls team chosen by the trainers will participate in the tournament providing the kids the opportunity to experience a travel soccer tournament. Since we are part of WWPSA, there is no entrance fee (normally $425 per team). However, each participant’s parent must perform a minimum of 2 ½ hours of volunteer duty to support the tournament. This is in addition to TDA volunteering.

Volunteers
As many of you know, WWPSA is a volunteer run organization and requires the help of each and every one of us for the benefit of all our kids. The only paid positions are the Executive Director (Andy Di Duca), the people training the kids, and the referees. Below are the immediate areas where we need help. We will post a more comprehensive list shortly. Please let us know where you are able to help. Don’t be shy about volunteering for more than one role! Amy Gardner, our volunteer coordinator, will keep track as well as list areas where help is required.
