Non-Contact ACL Injury Prevention for Female Soccer Players Ages 13+
Wednesday 30th January & Sunday 3rd February

WWPSA is pleased to present an educational seminar on "Non-Contact ACL Injury Prevention". This two-part program will be presented by Todd Brown, Co-Founder of the G.O.A.L.S. Training Series.

Introductory Seminar: Wednesday 30th January, 7:30pm, West Windsor Library AND
Practical Presentation: Sunday 3rd February, 3:00pm, Millstone Main Gym

In recent years, there has been a significant increase in injuries in female athletes, specifically non-contact ACL tears. Soccer is a high risk sport for non-contact ACL injuries. It is estimated that 55,000 ACL injuries occur each year in female athletes, with an associated cost of $17,000 for repair and rehabilitation per patient. Rehabilitation from this type of injury takes at least 6-10 months.  Current research links a 100 times greater chance of developing osteoarthritis after suffering an ACL tear as opposed to individuals that have not.

This program is designed for female soccer players aged 13 and above as well as their parents and coaches. Learn the basic facts and the practical steps necessary to drastically reduce the risk of an ACL injury. A couple of hours now may save as much as an entire season or year in the future. The program is free.

Should you have any questions about this program, please contact Robin Dean at execdirector@wwpsa.org.  Please note that a modified program will be presented for female players aged 10-12 at a later date. This program is open to female players of all sports. Click here to learn more about Non-Contact ACL Injuries.
