Paid Referee Positions Available

Attention WWPSA members ! The Association needs referees. Refereeing is an excellent way to make money while staying involved in the sport you love. Referees are needed for both recreation and travel soccer at all age levels. In order to referee, you must be licensed. Training sessions for licensing are readily available in the area.

For recreational league referees, a Grade 9 license is required. The Grade 9 license preparation class lasts one day. At the end of the class, you will be able to take the Grade 9 licensing exam. Local clubs, Mid-New Jersey Youth Soccer Association or the NJ Referee Committee conduct the Grade 9 classes.

For travel league referees, a Grade 8 license is required. The Grade 8 license preparation class is two days and one evening. At the end of the class, you will be able to take the Grade 8 licensing exam. The NJ Referee Committee conducts all Grade 8 classes.

Immediately after obtaining either license, you will be eligible to referee games. If you are interested in refereeing this Spring, please consider any of the following sessions.
