The WWPSA Boys Senior Rec Championship Game was played at Morris Davidson field in Plainsboro on Saturday November 17, 2007.  It was a colorful day with the surrounding trees finally showing Fall colors on the cusp of winter.

Arsenal coaches Jamal Bachir and Omotaya Kuku kept the pressure on the Red Bulls from the beginning of the game with many shots on goal from both teams. Red Bull goalie Steven McSpiritt and Arsenal’s goalie each kept their cool under great pressure. By half-time, Arsenal had a lead of 2-1. Red Bulls coaches Dwayne Brath and Glenn Foster were seen pacing back and forth obviously stressed. With 90 seconds remaining in the game, forward Tom Brath sent an unstoppable diagonal shot into the Arsenal goal to tie the game at 2-2 leading to overtime. The Red Bulls kept the pressure on scoring two goals in the extra period to clinch the Championship.

During the award ceremony at the field, 1st and 2nd place trophies were handed out. Afterwards, the Boys Senior Pizza Party took place at Café Capuanos.

This year, Boys Senior had 96 players on 6 teams with an average of 16 players per team.  Congratulations to a number of seniors who will be moving on to college next year. Many thanks to our coaches who should be acknowledged for their commitment to making this season a pleasure to watch.  We look forward to welcoming the new players coming up from the ranks of Boys Intermediate next year.
