Based upon popular demand, WWPSA invites all players who have registered for WWPSA’s Fall Rec soccer program to sign up for the 2nd Annual WWPSA Goal Fest 3v3 Youth Rec Tournament! The tournament will follow a 3v3 format where teams of 3 players each play on a small field with no goalkeepers in short, intense games meant to spur frantic activity and LOTS of fun! We hope that you’ll enjoy it and please let us know if you are interested in helping organize or run the tournament.
Location
WWPSA’s Goal Fest 3v3 Youth Rec Tournament will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2008. Games begin at 8:00 am and continue until 6:00 pm at the dual-tiny and mini fields at the Sarnoff Corporation complex.
Registration
Each team must register online so that we can assign teams to age divisions and prepare a schedule. Each team will play 3 games with minimum rest of 1/2 hour between games. Teams must include players from the same Fall Rec League, e.g., players within Girls 1st grade can only play with other players from Girls 1st grade; players from Boys Senior can only play with other players from Boys Senior, etc. We require a nominal fee of $30 per team by September 14, 2008; no refunds will be issued after this date for any reason.
You’ll need to provide the following during registration:
- Team Name
- # of players on a team (max. 6)
- Full name of each player
- Division, e.g., Kindergarten, 1st grade, Intermediate, etc. Remember: ALL PLAYERS on each team must participate in the Fall Rec League that matches the chosen Division.
- Gender
- Team Contact information, including e-mail address and cell phone. All communication regarding the tournament will be via e-mail, so make sure it’s the one you use often.
- Payment method. You can pay the team fee via credit card (preferred) or check. Each team contact should arrange for each player to reimburse them for their portion of the team fee.
New for 2008: you can login to your online application after you have submitted it to either update information or to pay by credit card if you initially indicated you would pay by check. You will need the team number included in your registration confirmation e-mail and your PIN; if this is your first time logging into your application, click the link to have your PIN e-mailed to you.
If you are a single player looking for a team, please e-mail us and we’ll do our best to find a spot for you. We can’t promise that we will, so you’re better off speaking with parents of other children on your assigned team or with friends who play in the same Fall Rec division as your child to make arrangements.
