’Game Only’ Fields

Designated ’GAME ONLY’ fields are WWPSA’s showcase fields.  Therefore, when considering use every effort must be taken to protect the short and long-term quality of the playing surface.  To achieve this goal, the following applies as of the 2006-07 year.

> No preseason scheduling of games will occur.

> Programs must request specific times and dates based upon the following:

# of Events

°         Fall Season ±35 events depending on field condition

°         Spring Season ±35 events depending on field condition

°         Maximum 2 events per day

°         1 game = 1 event

Type of Events

°         Top priority - high profile games including State Cup and travel / recreational. league championships

°         Second priority – night games for travel league and recreational league games

°         Third priority – travel league games and recreational league games

°         Friendlies and scrimmages are not permitted

°         Practices are not permitted

Field Closure

°         Director of Facilities will make the call to close the field

°         No use of field for a minimum of 24 hours after rain.  Games scheduled for field during this period will be relocated. No exceptions.

°         Field will be closed in advance if heavy rain is forecasted.  Games scheduled for field during this period will be relocated. No exceptions.

Program Requirements For Field Use

°         Programs must consider it a privilege to use the field and their teams must commit to have 4 to 6 adults arrive at the field ±20 minutes earlier than normal warm-up time for field set-up and stay an extra ±20 minutes after game completion for field breakdown.

°         If a Program or a Program’s team(s) cannot commit to the above then don’t request to be scheduled to use this field.

°         Penalties for misuse will be published shortly.
